The network connection is good but she is unable to connect to the internet.
In the control panel network place on the connection it has a red circle with black 'x' in it.

Few questions from my side\\

sorry to ask but what does UNI stand for

secondly i assume ur daughter is connected to a LAN Network

before u go on to the steps mentioned below i want u to check something for me

on the network connection right click and select properties
there u will find a tab called enable / disable if disabled then enable it

if already the enable tab is selected

click the disable tab the click the enable tab

click ok

now check ur net connection

when she connects to the netwok on startup is she asked for a password and is it through a domain

if so then u first need to know if her account (user id) is permitted for net connection

but u mentioned from last night this problem started

so it one of the 2 reasons

1) her net privilages has changed
2) her some problems with either her ip settings or the firefox setting)

if u have problems in finding out the above mentioned two reasons then contact ur network administrator for it

awaiting reply from ur end

Remove Norton Internet Security from your PC. If you can't uninstall from
your PC, you need to install Norton removal tool from Symantec.com
