Hello,
my Compaq crashed, so formatted c drive and reinstalled XP. Downloaded drivers from manufacturer, including Conexant AC-Link Audio Driver. During installation, I get message:

"Windows cannot find '\swsetup\audio\setup.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search."

The folder audio does not exist, and I all steps had been automatic so far. Even if I choose the folder \swsetup\audio\ as the place to install the driver, nothing happens.

In the volume control window, all options are active (microphone, cd audio, wave, etc.), but not PC speaker.

Thanks for your help.

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.0.6

Get the Brand and Model of your motherboard and try searching for audio drivers for it. I found i had to do that with my PC as the ones provided did the same thing
