Speaker of laptop & headphone work together.

Hello,
when headphone is connected , speakers of laptop are not stopped.

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 2.0.0.3

You might have damaged the headphone socket - the design is that by inserting the headphone plug you mechanically disconnect the internal speakers. Not much you can do short of disassembling the laptop and replacing the socket . Sorry

I am having compaq presario c700 but when i run a song or movie,and i put headphones than sound comes from my laptop speakers and headphones also.i think,i dont have that software

You are absolutely correct. you are not not having the right sound driver for your system.usually this problem occurs when your system is preinstalled windows vista and u ve installed xp.remember this is not a hardware problem only a software problem try installing different sound drivers and ur problem will be solved.
