Hi everyone:) im having this reaaaaaly frustrating problem on itunes! when i on my computer, before connecting my ipod nano to the com, and i open itunes, itunes works perfectly okay. BUT, when i connect my nano to the com, a window would suddenly pop up in front of the itunes screen :" itunes have stopped working, windows is checking for a solution for the problem..." then after that another window would pop up and say:" a problem caused the progran to stop working corredtly, windows will close the program & notify you if a solution is available." then i'll have to click the only button on that pop up window saying "close program" and then i tunes would be automatically closed. but when i disconnect my ipod, itunes works wonderful again! however though, theres nothing wrong with my ipod, its normal and working well! D: i've tried many things and searching for info on forums & itunes help websites, but i cant seem to fix this problem! i also tried checking the properties of my ipod via "mycomputer" but i cnt find anything. i also reinstalled itunes and quicktime, but with no help either. SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!:( i wanna sync my ipod again! oh and my com is a vista:)

Configuration: Windows Vista
Internet Explorer 7.0

I'm on an older version of Mac, and I'm having a similar problem.

I have the origonal nano, and every time I connect it and it goes to the info screen my ituens will close.
It'll work everywhere else, except the place where I can tell it where to update it from, or restor it, or update it, etc.

Really need answer for this, getting annoying just to try to update it.

Sometimes reinstalling itunes works, once I got it to restore... Worked twice.
Now I have to deal with the same music.

Any solution might be good...

Apple forums don't seem to help much.

I had the same problem on my PC. My solution is to use an iTunes alternative: CopyTrans Manager

It works very great, so fast and light.. and it's free: http://www.copytrans.net/manager.php

Ive been having that problem
I don't think iPOD nano 2nd generation can play videos
If its the 2nd generation, U can't play it
If it's not, I recommend u serch it in google
or u might need a converter

HELLO EVERYONE(: thanks for sharing and replying to my post. yes, i/ve tried updating my itunes software and etc., but none works for me. So i decided to dont bother it for a while. and earlier today, when i tried once agin to connect my ipod to itunes, IT WORKED! i have no idea why and im very puzzled. for quite a while i have been repeatedly trying alot of different things. and as for today, i merely did the norm and it worked! :D im happy but at the same time veryvery confused. Does anybody know how that happened? and how to prevent further occurence of this problem? THANKS!
And lastly, i hope all of your ipod nanos can work soon, like mine!! Perhaps its just a temporary malfunction too. BEST OF LUCK! :D

p.s/ ( maybe some of you would like to try to change the connecting cable, as i heard from my friend that that worked for her, but not for me though ): you should be able to get a new / replacing cable from any apple shop :D)

'Samantha.

Well I don't know if this will help much but you could download this sidebar for itunes software downloads and maybe that will clear up your problem with syncing your Ipod. Another solution is to scrap it and use a better mp3 player.
