Cant see the Start button or the task bar

Hello,



I was trying to install printer, but I don't know what happened, Whenever I try to log onto Windows XP, I cant see the start button or the Taskbar.
Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

You may have somehow set to auto hide the taskbar. you do boot in the WinXP home screen? Move your cursor down to the bottom of your screen and go up and down slowly. Does the taskbar arrear when doing that? If so, right click on the taskbar when visable and choose properties. Untick the autohide box and tick the lock the taskbar.
