Sure it is. All you need to do is have a separate account for the user, create a login script that disables the NIC. Then when the user log's out your have a script to enable the NIC. Or you could use the inverse for the user required network access. If scripting isn't your cup of tea, finding someone to write those little guys shouldn't be a big problem. If you are seeking a more elegant solution, I suggest you look at 'Local Policy' solutions, or a third party vendor. Keep in mind, nanny software has many benefits, but it doesn't disable hardware. and can be bypassed by the user if they are resourceful enough. (ie: open proxy). |
