I have a hp laptop and no sound works on it

Hello,
I have a hp laptop and all of a sudden the sound has stopped working I was using my laptop just yesterday and the sound was fine but today it is not working at all not even with headphones...how do I fix it?

Configuration: Windows Vista
Internet Explorer 7.0

Hi,
if it is a software problem you may set all things right with a system restore.
>start
>all programs
>accessories
>system tools
>system restore
you can set the computer to a date before the problem happened.

first check your device maneger to which hardware showing ( ? mark) update this driver with sutable driver available on hp site
