Good Morning,

In case you have not found any answers on this topic, I can expand on one way to tweek your laptop/pc into thinking it can handle more speed....

Go to www.speedguide.net

On left hand side of page you will see a link for TCPIP Optimizer...click it
...on the top of the next page, you will see a link for the tcpipoptimizer exe-run it as administrator.

Once it runs, a slider bar will appear in the middle of the page, slide it to match the speed of your service( if you do not know your bandwidth, then how do you know how fast or slow it is?), anyway....
slide the bar to 10Mbps or whatever, and click the optimize button on the bottom of the form, it will respond with another dialogue that states it is tweeking your registry. Select ok, and restart.

Ok, so what happened....In very simplest terms...think of your PC as a Train, with 100 cars in it, and the internet is the train track.....well when you make an internet query, the train leaves the station and goes to the next station in line....
well your pc is configured to only hold like 100 boxes in each train car....

so as soon as it fills up on the 100 boxes X 100 cars, it leaves the station to return home.

Although it is returning, it can hold another 900 boxes per car.

Your train will go 100 mph regardless if each car has 100 or 1000 boxes each.

Why not wait until all 1000 boxes are full before returning, therefore making each trip more efficient.

That is all you have done, is change some settings to hold more boxes.

Hello,

Very simple. Contact your internet service provider and purchase a higher grade service.
