How do you hook ps3/xbox360 up to wifi?

Hello,
i have a new ps3, and i do not know how to hook it up to wifi, i tried it with multiple games, and they need an ethernet cable, which i do not have. also, a friend of mine has the same problem, but with an Xbox 360, could you please help?

You could try to just hook it up to a network adapter but idk if you have to have wifi to do that or not

This should work the same with a PS3 even though it is gear towards 360's
