Hello,
I suddenly developed problems using Realtime's "realdownload plugin". The download icon appears appropriately when hoovering with the mouse on online videos. However, when clicked and double checked in Realtime, download, I find an "unable to download message displayed.

I have Windows 7 & Firefox 17.0

I visited Realtime, re-downloaded the realtime download plugin, visited FoxFire on my computer and appropriately enabled. However, I can now successfully download only a few online videos, with most I still get the "unable to download" error message.

Searches online for a solution have not been successful.

Hi bacolod1967,

Try to uninstall and remove any traces of Mozilla Firefox. Also uninstall and remove Adobe Flash player and the Download Plug-in. Download and install both these applications from the below mentioned links. And then update the plug-in again.

Mozilla Firefox: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

Adobe Flash Player: https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Do reply with results.

I tried uninstaling all three Foxfire, AdobeFlash and then RealTime & RT plugins and then reloading them. Unfortunately, this did not solve the problem. Since I am only unable to download about 5% of the videos, mostly located on about three websites, I assume these three websites have something that blocks RealTime's downloading ability..
Thanks.

Hi bacolod1967,

Yes, there is a possibility the website might be blocking the content to be downloaded. If that is the case please go through the terms and conditions of the website. It is generally not recommended to download any copyright or protected content. If you want to download any free content you can choose the below mentioned plugin from Mozilla. This is called as Video DownloadHelper 4.9.12. This plugin gives you amazing results.

Zohaib R,
Thanks to the tip about Video DownloadHelper 4.9.12 This Mozilla plugin seems to greatly increase the number and kinds of videos that I can download, although I am not sure why.

I still have to use RealTime with the FoxFire Browser with this particular Mozilla plugin running in the background.

Thank you Zohaib R. I am considering your suggestion of this download a solution to my problem.
