  I use compaq laptop cq40 144tu. I use winxp but this model not install xp.

  pls. sovle this soluation my email id.

It wont install... No wonder. They are out to make money. Dell is Gates partner in this crime. forget about windows, the crappy OS... go for Ubuntu. Its free user friendly, robust secure...

try it and you will never again use windows.

Hi....

         i m having a cd in which the drivers are already loded....so u dont have to boot it from floppy drive...and if ur using cq -40 so i suppose there is no flopy drive in it...so not to worrry u just msg me ur postal address i will courire u the cd.........m doing it bcz i know it is very difficult to work in visa and xp is supperb....so m ready to help kindly take my mail seriously.........or contact 09896038291

Hi! 

to install xp on cq40 144tu just degrade it's bios version 

it must be f12 version which will not let u to install xp

i installed on mine by just downgrading bios

You can install xp by making a image of xp in ur system...............u have to make a cd in which it will make a image first then it will copy ur windows.....but this series does not allow xp so it better to use vista .....xp will run but some programes will not run.....now vista compartible softwares r easily abailable...so try to avoid xp

There is a seperate xp os for compaq cq 40 series.you cant install normal xp in your machine.

1.  1st copy/extract all file in xp cd to local drive-folder.



2.  download n-lite s/w.

 Link : http://www.nliteos.com/download.html



3.  download SATA driver -  Aa****.inf ( Hope you will have 1 )



4.  Help : http://www.nliteos.com/guide/part1.html  --

Follow instruciotn.. ( choosing paths of xp  & driver file )

don't forget to  choose bootable & Drivers options (Enabled)



Save an iso copy for future. 

burn to disc

reboot..



DONT FORGET TO SHARE N HELP OTHER CQ SUFFERERS..

Hi,



I have laptop (Compaq C40 Series)



Compaq Presario CQ40 (Presario CQ40-315TU)

I am unable to install my Win-XP now,(After installation is over, it shows Blue screen with FATAL error, virus etc.). Please guide me to over come this issue...
