Will avast 4.8 home free work with win98?

Hello,
My AVG free edition no longer works with my win98 O/S.
Can anyone confirm if Avast 4.8 Home Free Edition will work
with win98?

Yes, it works on Win98. maybe your avast v4.8 is outdated or maybe just a trial.
