www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2008-071823-3029-99&tabid=3
download the software and then run it in safe mode.
this should remove it.

This was a very frustrating virus to get of. I tried the removal tool and also tried delting in safe mode with no success. The infected files also coudl not be deleted directly. The way that I finally delted was to go the the command prompt, locate the directory and delete (C:\...del *.*). Ran a full scan afterwards and so far so good.

Well i also had encountered the same problem as you i ran my computer in safe mode and it didnt really seem to work. and my trojan was a song that my friend had downloaded and then i just removed all othr songs away from the virus to stop it from spreading. Then i just opened my norton anti virus and ran a live update for any new virus definitions and also ran a scan. then i ran a removal tool but it would not work i did this a few times but it did not seem to work also like how many others say . Then a few days later a norton message came up and said trojan.brisv.A!inf is on my computer and then i opened it and i clicked on remove off to the side were it says remove or review and at first when it would come up it would not let me remove it but then after i updated the virus definitons it let me remove it and it had shown up 3 times on my history and i removed all 3 and then i clicked on remove again and it did. finally i ran a full system scan and the virus would not show up any more like it used to and on the history it says that it is fully removed and not on the computer no more. So all i recommend is to update your virus or what your running on and if it is a song that is affecting it remove all other songs around it and jsut send them to a new folder or something. just do all of that and run scans and click on remove and it should work.
