Not able to install window messenger

Hello,
I am not able to install msn. thought i had tried downloading msn from microsof website but it failed again and again.
and when i downloded the msn exe from other website and try to install it then it says the higher version already exist but there is not any msn in my computer. and so i am not able to uninstall it.
so please help me installling msn. and even i am not able to download it form the microsoft website so please help me

Hi,
it may be that your firewall is preventing you from downloading the software.
you may turn it off by going to control panel>Windows firewall.
then you may try to download the software again.

i did it already as you had instructed to do and still i am not able to intall my msn and even windows update are aslo not working even i hav the geniune windows
if you hav some other ideas then please help me
