Inspiron 1525 Power Light Query

Hello,

When I turn off my Dell Inspiron 1525 and it powers itself off the Power Light at the far left of the front of the laptop
still remains lit. This happens whether the AC adaptor is unplugged or not.

Shouldn't all power indicators turn off when the computer is off?
Is this a problem or just a feature of the laptop?

It hasn't really affected the performance but it may have affected the battery charging.

Thanks

Barryroe.

Configuration: Windows Vista
Internet Explorer 7.0
