Can't read microsd card in card reader

Hello,
I have a 512mb microsd card. I have some pics in it. But neither my phone nor card reader is detecting it.
If i connect the card reader to pc, the card reader's light gets on but when u explorer it, nothing opens.
It just feels like we havnt inserted card in it.
N ya when another card is inserted it opens it.
I want to recover those photos, so anybody plz help me........

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0
USB card reader
512mb microsd card

Hi,
it seems that the memory card is faulty.
try it on another computer and see if it works, if it does not, then you should buy another one.
you will be able to get your files only if it opens.

Thanks for the reply.
i got actual reason today. the card is minutely cracked. so basically its a hardware defect.
i really wish the images back but my friend told me that its impossible.
if u have any solution then plz share with me.

<Some camera shops can check your memory if it still has some pictures on it.
But because it faulty, try next time saving it to a memory stick. And you could get them printed out nicely in the c.shops and trust me.. the detail will be good.
So dont rely too much on a memo card save all stuff on the computer or other devices. Its worth it !
