SATA HDD not detected while installing windows 7/ Windows 8

Hello,

I was using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit. I wanted to use Fedora 32 Bit. This is why I installed it on my hard drive along with Windows 7. After that, Windows 7 crashed but Fedora still worked and instead of C drive, all my other drives got formatted.

Now, the problem is that I am unable to install Windows 7 again. It is because I am not able to see hard drive partitions (ERROR is: "NO HARD DRIVE FOUND"). But, I am able to see the partitions in Fedora.

Can please anyone help me out with a solution as soon as possible?

Check your BIOS settings for the following parameters:

SATA configuration -> Enhanced
Configure SATA -> AHCI

At installation time, tell the installer to try to use these drivers by click on "Load driver":

You should try with your motherboard SATA drivers. If you don't have any, you can try this one, by downloading it on an USB drive:

To be able to install win7 or win8 which uses NTFS file system, remove your HDD, slave it to a machine which already have win7 or 8 installed and format the drive using NTFS file system, when finished, fix the HDD back on your machine and start your win7 or 8 installation. Hope it works.

I have no other hard drive installed. I installed it in Drive 3. I used a static hand-wrist
band and static tools.

I have 8 GB for ram. I had a 750 GB Hard drive but now I have installed 1 TB hard drive. I mean I wore an anti static wrist band and use anti static computer tools;

I am having the same problem but its my laptop I cannot remove the hard disk!

Find the type of storage controller your PC uses by checking the documentation that came with your PC or going to the manufacturer’s website.

On a second PC, go to the manufacturer’s website and download the latest driver on a USB flash drive or other removable media.

Start Windows 7 installation again, and on the Where do you want to install Windows? page, click Load Driver.

Insert the removable media containing the driver into your PC, and click OK.

Select the driver from the list of results and then click Next. Follow the instructions on your screen to continue installing Windows 7.

On the manufacturers website, which drivers are to be downloaded specificaly ? I'm using hp probook 4530s

Hey there I have the same problem but I have the driver file on my smartphone is there a way to boot it from it cause when I plug my phone it doesnt show up in the windows load driver section ...

Is it a SATA hard drive?
What's the file system used for Fedora?

yes its a SATA hard drive... and file system is EXT4

You should at least have one partition in FAT32 (or NTFS but it will be read-only on Fedora) because Windows doesn't know anything about ext_ filesystem!

fadora installed in EXT file system other drives in NTFS format... but main thing is that what should I do to install win7 or 8 again because while installation hard drive is not detecting..
