Hello, I recently bought a new computer and ever since I have been having problems with shutting down. If I am running World Of Warcraft and I turn my music on in Windows Media Player after about 5 mins my computer will just shut down. It does not shut completely down though, the power light is still on but the screen is black and gives the no signel detected error.

I am running a 64 Bit Version of windows and I do have all my drivers and windows updates up to date.

My Computer Specs are

Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q8000 @2.33Ghz 2.33 HGz
6.00 GB Ram
Ati Radeon HD 4850
780 gigs of free space still

My old computer with specs about 3 times as worse as that had no problems like this. Infact I ran like 4 copies of WoW and Mediaplayer going at the same time.

Configuration: Windows Vista
Internet Explorer 7.0

I've been having the exact same problems for a few weeks myself. Ive reformatted and reinstalled wow several times (very difficult with repeated crashes)

I've got similar system specs. 64bit Vista, 650w PSU, ATI 4870 HD, 8gigs of ram, raptor HDD, ect ect. When the system shuts down the video card fan spins extremely fast for a moment, then resumes normal. Monitor goes into power saving mode, system still has power but the HDD light on the case indicates no activity. Its weird, i did an entire naxx 25 run with no crashes, then i loaded into wsg and crashed. doesnt make sense.

Im getting closer and closer to just taking it to the geek squad and seeing what the deal is. Ill post back here if i find anyhting useful. Good luck with the search for answers

Same problem, and with a very similar system set-up.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550
Asus P5Q Pro Motherboard
4Gb DDR2 PC800
Crossfired ATI Radeon HD 4850
HDA 5.1 Sound

Installed with Windows Vista 64bit

Oddly enough, FarCry2, Flight SimulatorX and most Valve games run without a glitch.
I encounter the same problem when running World of Warcraft or Titan Quest:
after the introduction movies I get the No signal input-error and the computer freezes.

Hey i forgot to post back here, but i ended up fixing the problem. I had purchased a cheap-o 640W PSU. After reading some reviews i went and purchased a certified 750W PSU from a big name brand co. and have yet to have a single crash. I can overclock my videocard now without any troubles. So i guess dont overlook your power supply when troubleshooting

Hi I am having the same issue. If I play either WOW or Supreme commander, the computer falls over and comes back on and starts booting like nothing has happened. I have noticed that my M/B LED stays on. My specs are listed below:

Intel 8400Processor @3Ghz
Corsair XMS 2 6Gb Ram
Asus P5QL PRO M/B
ATI 4870 Saphire Toxic Edition

My PSU is a 650 Watt Extreme CoolerMaster Black PSU. The PSU is around 1 year only, while the graphics card is around 3 months old. I am currently running a full memory check using a Hirens boot cd. Nothing has come back and I am over 30% done. Did chaning the PSU to the large unit make a difference? are you still finding the system is rebooting?

Regards
Dom

Inserting an Nvidia videocard solved the problem for me. Apparently Wow is sponsored by Nvidia and the Ati team has to update their drivers every time Wow comes out with an update....some experienced player rumoured this, no idea if its actually true, but hey, I'm playing.

Cheers.
