Hello,

After using partition magic to delete some logical drives on a HDD and then to merge some of the remaining ones, I seem to be having a weird problem: nothing shows up in any of my administrative tools sections (computer management, services, etc) and also nothing in device manager... just blank space.

I'm supposing this is because of some registry problem. So I used registry mechanic to scan and then repair whatever it said it had found. However, the problem is still here.

Any advice/opinion is most welcome.

Thanks!
Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

Hello

If you have the xp installation disc from microsoft you might try a system file checker. A restore disc will not work...and some computers don't need the disc.
Start > run (then type the following)

SFC /scannow

(notice the space) hit enter and let it do it's thing...takes about 10 to 15 minutes on most machines
