Word 2003 shuts down when typing

Hello,

I reinstalled XP and Office lately, and since then I have a wierd problem: When i open a document on word ( or start a new one), It shuts down a few seconds after I begin typing anything!

Did someone encounter this problem ? It happens also when using Word as editor in Outlook Reinstalling office helped for a while, and then the problem returned.

Internet Explorer 6.0

Hello

first close word, any office application and also internet explorer.Search for normal.dot and rename it to normal1.dot and restart word.

this should do the trick.

Hi, could anyone tell me if you could download microsoft 2007 for free, because i have to see if it will work on my computer..........

Hello,
Office 2007 is not free, if you want it you have to purchase it, otherwise you can download and try OpenOffice.org Suite which is free, and compatible with all other major office suites.
