Hello, my neighbor lets me use her wireless internet but the connection strength is too low in my apartment. I have a wireless router and i was wondering if there is a way to use it as a wireless repeater. (I'm broke and don't want to buy a repeater.) Has anyone done this before, and if so HOW?!

Configuration: Windows Vista
Firefox 3.0.5

Yes it can be done. But, trying it can turn your router into a brick. Google "hack wireless repeater" for lots of DIY info.

Good Luck

Try this site: http://www.dd-wrt.com/ I'm in the exact same situation as you and it helped me allot. Depending on the type of router you have this very simple. I'm looking for a router to run the dd-wrt firmware on. A buddy of mine has it running on his Linksys and it's a very awesome tool! hope this helps if you haven't already found an answer :)
