Folders turn shortcut & recycler appear

Hi jack4rall, for some reason the command below is not working and showing this message "Access Denied - F:\$RECYCLE.BIN\S-1-5-21-3380938054-3985U309840-93984U5983-3984503"

PLEASE HELP ANYONE !!!

attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:\*.*

Are you logged in as an administrator on Windows 7 ?
Are you sure there is a $RECYCLE.BIN folder on F: drive ?

Hello,

Please let me add few lines.

$RECYCLE.BIN does exist on all the drives and it will be hidden mode.

$RECYCLE.BIN is related to the "Recycle bin".

Fore more information about $RECYCLE.BIN, click on the below

hyperlink "$RECYCLE.BIN"

$RECYCLE.BIN

In Windows 7, it will appears as $RECYCLE.BIN.

So enter the given command and wait for the process to get completed to show you

the hidden files

OR

Try this 1

Click on Start --> In search box, type folder options and press Enter.

"Folder Options" will be opened. Click on the "View" tab.

Now select the option "Show hidden files, folders or drives" and uncheck the

check box "Hide protected operating system files" --> Click on "OK" button.

Now look for your files in your external drive.

Later undo the changes you have made by once again going to "Folder Options"

--> Click on "View" tab and click on "Restore Defaults" button --> Click on "OK".
