Dear Pattabhi,

You can install any operating system in your laptop by disabling SATA Drive from your bois setup. Once you disable SATA Drive from setup then you are allowed to install any OS on your machine.

Hi Nil,
try to follow following steps:

1) Go to BIOS setting
2) find sata setting (name may be diff..)
3) change it to ATA.
4) save setting and run xp installation..

Hi, I have HP DV201tx special edition, with vista installed. I tried installing XP pro but couldnt succees. after going thru all the forums and tried almost everything. using nLite i created winXP OS with SCSI drivers loaded and tried but no use, pressed F7 to ignore SCSI from detecting, but so far no luck. can you please send me the SCSI SATA HDD drivers to my mail

Its ludzz here! I’m also facing the same problem; I would be glad if u can also help me with the image. Because I think it's the only way to solve the problem.

I've try to disable SATA controller but couldn't find anything by the name in the Bios setup. I’ve also try to do the image with SATA drivers but I couldn't find them (drivers).

I do have XP installation cd, so if the image is too big u can just send me SATA drivers only and I'll do the rest.

download xp OS by searching www.thepiratebay.com and which was included sata drivers.
1. first download utorrent software from www.utorrent.com and install it.
2. download xp as told above and your xp os is download as in the format of .torrent
3. open that torrent file with utorrent software and it will b downloaded.
4. after downloading right click that one and select the option "open containing folder"
5. copy those things and enjoy.

****u must installed winrar software to open the downloaded file.
