Model EW-1010 case Logic Wireless mouse

This mouse came w/ this Dell Laptop INSPIRION 1750. it has always functioned properly, however, now even after changing batteries, the little red light underdeath will not come on, likewise it does not function.

Does it have a "reset" button to sync with the computer?

you can buy a new Case Logic EW-600 Rubber black wireless mouse for $8.93 on Amazon - It may be easier to replace it than trying to fix the current one.
