Blue screen on laptop when installing xp

Hello,
i am getting a blue screen after windows installer loads when trying to install xp on a laptop that has a new hard drive installed. in the BIOS there is no advanced tab to change the hard drive to compatability setting
compaq presario cq62-225nr laptop
bios insydeh20 setup utility
it had windows 7 installed originallyRead more

Hello,

Try this 1

Go to BIOS --> Look for the "SATA Native Mode" and disable it --> Save the

settings and exit from the BIOS.

[Note: SATA Native Mode option can be found under "System Configuration" --> In

that, under "Device Configurations" in most of the laptops.]

thanks for trying to help but my bios has nothing like that in it. it has main, security, diagnostics, and system configuration under the tabs at the top. under system configuration the only options are language, virtualization technology, fan always on, action keys mode, usb legacy, and boot options. so I am at a loss. thanks for any help ayone can give
