Can't connect to skype

Hello,
I can't connect to skype, I just downloaded it on this computer and it won't connect at all. I looked at my firewall and allowed skype, but it still didn't work. Skype worked on another computer and this computer is new just like it so I don't understand why it isn't working... please help!

Try this 1

First make sure that your Skype is no longer running and then update the firewall.
