Laptop not starting black screen blinkg curso [Closed]

Just to add to that:
Assuming that you do see the screen that says Dell (which would make a hardware issue significantly less likely):
-What version of Windows are you running (ie Windows XP, Windows 7)?
-Do you ever see the Windows logo before you get to the black screen with the blinking cursor?

no dell logo is displayed at the time of starting,
i had tried starting several times and i have seen the dell logo and the boot bar 2 times out of 50-60 attempts
please guide me.. it is now out of warranty.

Alright well here are two things that you can try:

1) Powercycling
-Unplug your charger and remove your battery
-Hold the power button on your computer for 30 seconds or so
-Put the battery back in the computer and plug the charger back in
-Try to start the computer normally

2) Reseeding your RAM
-Unplug your charger and remove your battery
-Locate the RAM stick(s) on your computer (you will most likely need to remove part of the panel on the underside of your computer)
-Remove one of the RAM sticks in your computer
-Put the back panel on the computer again
-Put the battery back in the computer and plug the charger back in
-Try to start the computer normally

For reseeding your RAM, to be through you should try other possible RAM configurations:

If you have two RAM sticks( A and B ) located in slots ( A and B ) you could try:
Starting computer with RAM stick A in slot A only
Starting computer with RAM stick B in slot B only
Starting computer with RAM stick A in slot B only
Starting computer with RAM stick B in slot A only

If you get the computer to work properly under one or more of the above configurations first try putting the RAM back how it was (so stick A in slot A and stick B in slot B).
^ if at this point it works let me know (but everything will probably be fine)

If you can only get it to work with 1 of the RAM sticks then it might indicate that the other stick is failing

If you have only 1 RAM stick you can try starting it up with no RAM stick installed and then putting the RAM stick back in (it for sure will not work with no RAM stick in btw).

i had tried it before, but it doesnt work.there is two rams i had intdrchanged them
and also i had done powercycling too..

My laptop was stopped,when i was using so many applications.suddenly system memory dump and had never started.

It it a issue of ram?

So you have tried starting it up with all of the RAM/RAM slot combinations before?

If it isn't working with any combination of RAM sticks then it might indicate that there is an issue with your motherboard.

Are you able to get into the BIOS?

And also to clarify you have 2 RAM sticks installed?

^ Never mind you already said you did.

Well it probably wouldn't be a RAM issue if it doesn't work with any of the combinations above because that would suggest that at least either BOTH of your RAM sticks are broken or BOTH of your RAM slots are broken (that is fairly rare and I've honestly never seen it before).

by several attempts i have seen its starting boot screen twice but iys running very slow and after it, it hanged out

I saw your email and the only other thing that I can think of is that it could be some sort of video card issue. Do you get different results if you plug the laptop into an external monitor?

Does the pattern of dots ever change or is it the same each time you turn the computer on?
Also does it ever change over time when computer is turned on?

Another couple signs of life questions:

When the computer normally starts up does it have any lights (ie like a light on the power button)?
If so do you see any of those lights when you start the computer up now?

Does the computer make any noises? ( a lot of the times if you hit the F12 key (that's the boot menu key for most Dells) it will make a beeping sound to let you know it has got it )

i had checked it with another monitor,but result is same.
Yes during startup the led light gets on now also..like nomally
i had tried starting without ram but the beep sound which comes in absence of ram, is not coming
also its fan is not running..

This is unfortunately probably a hardware issue, and more specifically probably something with the motherboard. If you took it to a computer shop they probably could tell you more because due to enhanced tools/spare parts. I can definitely help you with getting data back but I am not a hardware expert so perhaps someone else would know something but I just know pretty basic stuff. Hope it turns out well
