Unable to open any programs in Windows 7Closed

Hello, 
I have been troubled by this error. I am unable to open any programs in my computer. The problem started after I tried to open a video in VLC media player and then ALL the programs and files on my computer got switched over to VLC so if I try to open a program it automatically open it in VLC, and I have tried to right click on the shortcut and ''Open in'' but if I change it, all the programs or files will then open in the new standardprogram I chose.
