For anyone to give any type of useable help, you should list as much information about the systems your using. In this case what brand & modles are the laptops? What model router is it (important) ? wireless or not.
What are the operating systems of each laptop. Configurations &/or installation wizards are setup different between the two.
Do one or both laptops have wireless capability and enabled (turned on) & possitive they both work?
Do you have a FLASHDRIVE? Helps to setup the second laptop quicker with the same configurations as the first.
