lam trying to remove windows vista on my hp 530 laptop and l want to put xp but lam getting the message that it cant find the harddrive

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

Windows XP does not contain drivers for native mode SATA hard drives. You will need to slipstream the drives into the Windows CD or use a floppy with the drivers when XP asks for the F6 prompt during the install.

Google "Windows XP SATA" for the exact procedure. Good Luck finding XP drivers.

Download sata drivers from hp web site. and extract them into folder. and now download NLITE software(google it). it will inject sata drivers into u r xp and creates new xp cd.
