Disk Defragment in windows xp

Hello,
I want to perform the disk defragment process in my computer(windows XP) in order to improve the computer performance without loosing the data. help please.........

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

You can try either of the following.

!) start/mycomputer

then right click on your hard drive(c:) and choose properties/tools/defragment now/defragment.

or

start/control panel/administritive tools (if you're in category view choose performance and maintenance, and then administritive tools )/computer management/disk defragmenter(you should see that option in the left hand menu,if not then you may need to expand Storage(+) then choose defragment.

Which ever way you go you won't lose any data.
