Installing vlc player offline...

Hello,
I am a newbie in linux.i have just installed fedora 9 .now i want to install media player sot that i can see video and audio.....and i also dont have internet.wo what files do i need to download also please tell me the commands to install them so that i can see my movies(avi,mpg) and hear songs.

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

Hi,
you need to go to the internet.
open a Terminal and input:

"sudo apt-get install vlc"

synaptic is installed by default on Ubuntu,
all you need to do is navigate to

system->administration->synaptic package manager

Thanks dhlexp for the reply.But is it possible to download a vlc player and then install it offline.Bcoz i dont have an internet connection.I can go to a neraby cyber cafe and download the required codecs or software.Please suggest me hot to do it...

I want to install direce only on internet so i can see videos and listen to songs on the net
