Hi,I have used most of the anti-virus solutions over the last 5 years or so.That includes paid for and free, beyond any shadow of a doubt Avast is the best.I use the free version(you have the option to up grade to the paid version)You have the ability to schedule a boot time scan which will wipe any virus off your pc, even the dreaded "ad ware", about blank, which is as much as a nuisance as a lot of the viruses.Next Item,,,,,,, use SpywareDetector from MaxSecure, you have to pay for it but its not expensive ,and believe me its brilliant. Its easy to use and the support is first class. With these two on your pc you wont be troubled with any of the crap that"s out there.I hope this helps you.Bye:-)

I personally use Avast, There are plenty of good free anti-virus software that offer the same kind of protection as the boxed software you can buy at the store. Have a look at it Best Free Antivirus Software
