Computer doesn't start & beeps

My comp won't start, it starts beeping, and the monitor won't turn on. the monitor is working on another comp, but no other monitor works on this comp. what should i do? :D

Configuration: motherboard AM2 NVIDIA
processor sempron 2800+ AM2 512mb ram, 128 mb video board
Windows XP
Firefox 3.0.5

Hi,
does it beeps normally?
if not then you should pay particular attention to the beeps.
the beeps are in fact a code which tells you what the computer is doing or what problem it is having.
note the beeps and then post it here.(the number of beeps)
check if you RAM is correctly plugged in.
remove it and place it again.

Yep, i unplugged it and plugged it again, and i did the same to the video board. it beeps continuously, every second: about 5-6 beeps (in 5-6 seconds), 2 seconds pause, and then it beeps and beeps every second without pause.

Actually, i looked into it, and it beeps 6 times, takes a pause for a second, and then it beeps without stop.

Beeps 6 times then stops. Screen stays black...

Did you find any answer to this question? in fact, i am having a very similar issue. The only dfference being my PC stops beeping after 6 beeps. I have been trying to fix the problem for the last six/seven months without much luck. I'll appreciate if you can post it at this forum.
