Hello,
My husband decided to get "Click Happy" and restored our whole computer!! UGH!! We lost years of pics and videos of kids, weddings, births, etc. I followed thru your directions that are listed, but I get to the point where I click Apply and a security question should appear, but it never does. It appears that folders are being transferred, but I don't think they did. I can't find them after I restart. Also, it says to find the user folder that's empty that doesn't give me access before starting this process, but I have access to all user folders and they all have a small amount of space in them already. However, on the bottom left hand corner (on the documents and settings page) there is a note that says "3 objects (1 hidden)". If I right click on a blank (hidden) part of this page and click the properties button I can see the info about all of my lost files...the # of files, # of folders and the amount of space, but it's marked "Read Only". If I click the advanced button there's an "Advanced Attributes" page with an unchecked box saying "Folder is ready for archiving" and a box already checked that says "For fast searching, allow indexing service to index this folder." Should I use this box to access my files? I'm weary about trying anthing on my own for fear of losing files permanently. I'm using windows ME. Please help...hubby is in the dog house for this slick move!!!
Thanks, btrflymom
