how to install xp over vista because i had hp pavillion dv2000 model.

There are lots of problems with installing XP on HP laptops. I would first try a "Dual Boot" system with both installed. See this site for more info: http://www.maniacomputer.com/Vista/VistaXPDualBoot.html
