Cant open c drive

Hello,
i have hp compaq laptop.i recently installed win xp.from that day i am not able to open my c:drive.whenever i try to open a message appeared that 'C:\resycled\boot.com is not a valid win32 application.' please help me i will be very thankful.

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.0.5

You have a virus (note the misspelling in C:\resycled\boot.com)


Other people have reported that downloading AVG 8.0 Free from www.Download.com installing it and letting the program do a full system scan, it removed the virus AND fixed the explorer issue and can click on C, D, E drives with no problems.
