I need help with my ps3 so i can play online

Hello, i would like to play my ps3 online but i can't, i have a laptop that use a wireless broadbandaccess and i dont want to get a service for at&t,comcast or any other company since i have a internet in my laptop, do i need a router so icanplay online or theres any other option?. please help me thank you.

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

Hi,
you can connect your ps3 with your laptop itself and thus get connected to the internet.
you dont need any further connection.
