CD-ROM simple boot disc

Hello,




I want to flash my bios with an update but I dont have a floppy.
How do you make a CD-ROM boot disc that simply boots to dos.
Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

Hello


Most burning software have options to create a bootable disk. One problem with that approach is that you can't backup the old BIOS in case something goes wrong. I suggest you install a floppy or if your BIOS allows use an external floppy. Internal is best. Hardwired into the BIOS, so to speak. The less things that can go wrong the better.

Why do you wish to flash your BIOS anyway? If your computer is running fine don't do it.

Can't boot into XP/Vista any ,CD's not work Hello, check the jumper on the back of the cd/rom before you discard it . It should be set to Master before you discrd it.
