Hello,
I have just installed DSL in one room of my house This room has a desktop. We live in a rural area.

I have another desktop in another room of the house and would like to connect them without running a RJ45 from the first computer to the 2nd computer

Any advice would be appreciated.

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

You have two options:
1. wireless - you get a wireless router and wireless USB adapter for the 2nd computer. router attaches to the DSL modem then you attach PC #1 to the router. PC two gets the USB wireless adapter.
2. home powerline network - you get a wired router and a set of NETGEAR (or other brand) Powerline Wall-Plugged Ethernet Bridge adapters that you use to connect the 2nd PC to the router. This uses the power wires in your home to carry the digital signal. Good Luck on your project.
