Problems While Playing FIFA 08 in LAN

Hello,
There is a problem while playing FIFA 08 in LAN. While we connect in multiplayer LAN we choose the teams and it goes upto loading....BUT when it comes to playing it says connection lost... WE are also not able to connect through Direct ip as u have mentioned in the previous forum... We both have different OS. On one system its Windows XP and the other one has Windows Vista. Pls Tell me how to connect... Thank YOU.
