When i put it in my nokia 3110 classic phone , it can recognise the card but on opening it says that the card is not formatted and then it says that the operation failed. When i put in my mp3 player , it does not even recognise it. I think it is corrupted. How can i repair it? I am out of warranty period. Please help.

A corrupt or missing boot sector will cause such kind of problem with the following indicates:

*Invalid media type reading drive.

*Abort, Retry, Fail?

*File system is displayed as "RAW".

*Windows may ask if you want to format the drive, such as warning "disk not formatted. Do you want to format now?"

*File names contain "weird" characters.

"Sector not found" messages.

To fix the boot sector, you may refer to
http://www.ptdd.com/fixboot.htm

If it still cannot be solved, you have to recover all the data out and then format the partition as the system indicates so that you can enter the partition again.

I have the exactly the same memory card that you have. It died while i was making a video with my kodak camera. And now the card cant be read with any device even windows hung when trying to access the memory card. this is no boot sector error or bad data this is physical damage to the card and is beyond disrepair.

one thing i wanna say is that do not put your memory card of any sort in high temeperature it could kill the components of the card, and mine got burned because of the kodak produced too much heat while taking a video .

Sad.

But i can easily buy a new one but the prob is all my photos and videos are gone forever.
