Hello, kioskea.net
Please help me.
I have a problem. I want to connect two computer. One pc is running window XP SP2. And one pc is running server 2003. I give ipaddress 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.1 correspondingly. Before making Active Directory in server 2003, I can ping server 2003 to XP. And I can also ping XP to server 2003. After making Active Directory I can't ping XP to server 2003. When I made Active Directory, I give domain name as "amm.sms". Firewall is also off. Please explain me step by step for connecting client to domain.

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.0.5

You probly need to set up an admin or a specific client connection. The server has these things installed automaticly but you need to turn them on or activate them in the IIS manager. I had a similer problem when I set up 2003 server enterprise. The documents I wanted to be seen on my website were only showing up as a page with files and I found that I had to add my active directory to to either :Enable default content page" or Enable document folder for it to be viewed in my web browser as a web page. (right click the site you are wanting to see click properties click the documents tab and thats where you add want content you want viewed). Also make sure you have your subnet mask and such set the same on the client and the server. I looked most of this stuff up myself via windows server for dummies e-book. This is a website I designed just to learn how to write HTML and such useing Adobe Dreamweaver.

First u create domain controller on server 2003 (eg like cdc.loc) and then join ur xp comp to same domain(cdc.loc).give the ip address to server like 192.168.10.1 and xp comp 192.168.10.3 and in active directory create account for xp comp den u will be able to ping server
