CD DRIVE wont open...

Hello,



I have a iBook G4 with a DVD BURNER. and for some reason, it stop accepting CDs...I am not sure if a CD is stuck in there or not, but no CDs can get in. Can someone help me with this issue???
Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

That little hole in the drive is for a paperclip, unfold a paperclip amd insert it into the tinny hole to eject the cdrom. That is if they built it with the hole. Don't force it, it usually pops open with minimal effort.

A friend is going through the exact same problem. It may be that you (or a repair tech) will need to open up your iBook to extract the whole optical (CD/DVD) drive. There are some quite good How To on YouTube:

i just came to own an iBook a day ago and i discovered that, in the G4, you need to hold down the Mac key and press the letter E to 'E'ject a disk from the rom drive ...
