How to make bootable XP in pendrive?

Hello,
My motherboard IDE sockets are not working since a week ago. Yesterday my system was hang and even couldn't open my comuter due to some virus in system. so i have no option to install XP.
Can anybody help to make bootable XP in my pendrive so that i can installed from my pendrive?

Configuration: Windows Vista
Internet Explorer 7.0

I dont know if you can do that or not, would you not take the xp on your pendrive and convert it to a .ISO image, burn it on a cd and do it that way??

Always dont try xp in pendrive but try linux because if u use xp u the frequency is larger in windows and it loads faster than linux so it may reduce the performance of ur pen drive.....

so dont try xp in pen drive try linux....

Yes it is possible to make a bootable pendrive of course. however, you should have enough space on the pendrive to do this.

Also the pendrive that you are using must allow bootable options. You can make use of the MKBT program to make your USB bootable. the link is http://www.nu2.nu/mkbt/
