How do i configure my router

Hello,
Hi guys this is preetham , I have a ADSL Router with 4 LAN ports and 1 internet port , the internet port is RJ11 port and the LAN ports are RJ45 ports . i have a hathway ISP and it has a RJ45 pin as a internet pin , i m not able to connect RJ 45 internet port to my routers RJ11 port . Do we have any option so that i can make use of my router or do we have any option like connecting my ISP to one of the LAN ports and configuring the router .If so could you please let me know in detail .Could you do the needful ASAP .

Sounds like the "ADSL router" is a Modem/router that has a phone line (Rj11) as input. It can't be used with your new broadband connection. Buy a new router.

Hi !

It seems to be u have bought a modem router.But your connection is RJ11 internet connection.
These days I'am also struggling with a this tipe of problem. Try this

one thing is switch
small 1 port router cost bit which has a RJ45 network port
connet that port to your modem router

Do some thing like that and check....Dont throw the other modem its also good......
