Looking at the scenario you outlined above, the issue is you are not recieving an IP Address through through from the modem, which means the issue is with (as you assumed) the modem and wireless router. Firstly can you check that your wireless card is not using a static IP Address by default they do not. If you have not changed this in the past we can assume this stage is ok. Next if you connect your GLB-502T D-Link using a straight through (standard) ethernet cable to any of the LAN ports (I would choose port 1 in this case) on your DI-514 not the WAN (internet) port. (Test at this stage) Secondly should this not work as desired, disable any DHCP servers on the DI-514 (wired and wireless), and ensure that the DI-514 is recieving a DHCP lease (an IP Address) from the GLB-502T. Try connecting to the wireless router and seeing if you now recieve a DHCP allocated IP. |
