Hello,
Hi I'm needing some help. I recently recieved an HP Pavilion dv2000. I'm having trouble burning/ripping my cd's. It has a Samsung HM160JI ATA Device (light scribe, DVD, RW...). When I put in a blank cd it states that there is no cd drive. When I try to back up (burn) my music from this laptop that was saved on it from my previous laptop it won't. I'm unsure why it's doing this because to my understanding it should burn/rip cd's. Please Help!!

Configuration: Windows Vista
Internet Explorer 7.0

I tried to play dvd but it's not playing. I called HP customer care and I was told it may be a software issue. I'll try to clean the lense first and go from there. HP wanted to charge me to reinstall software but I wonder if there is another altenative.
