Hello,
My son has a Desktop PC with a Fire GL vidoe card. My daughter has a Dell laptop, both received LCD televisions for Christmas along with Bluetooth Keyboards and Mouse. I connected both televisions up to computers and my daughters works fine, when she uses the function key, her Desktop is displayed on her televison and she has complete control of her computer, basically the television becomes an exact copy of the monitor on her laptop.

My son's Desktop PC is the problem. I have connected the second DVI-I port to his TV but can only extend his desktop onto his television, basically a dual monitor setup. This is not the function I need, I am looking to (for lack of a beter word) bridge the two together, so that his television is just an exact copy, not an extension of, what is displayed on this PC monitor.

Can this be done?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

If the desktop had a second video card installed in order to hook up the tv you might need to see if the sofware for the card has a setup wizzard to choose the setup you want. My HP d325 has 2 video connectors on the back and the nVIDEA software has a setup wizzard that allows me to choose the sep I want Dual view, extended desktop, or clone check the video manufacturer website for driver or software to achieve the desired setup you are looking for. Also check the video card properties to see if there is an option to bridge them together. Hope this helps.
