Hello,

I purchased a Kodak M1073 is camera 5 days ago. I ordered a sandisk adaptor and 8GB micro disk which arrived today. Have gone to put it in my camera and will not read! Really peeved. Is there something I'm missing. Not the most technological person but unsure what to do or even if I can send it back.

Would really appreciate some help and advice.
Kind thanks
Caroline

Hi,

if the camera is not recognising the memory card, try to format it via the camera itself.

thus it should normally be recognised.

but if still the problem persists, you should try another memory card into the camera to know which of the two (the scandisk or the camera itself) is faulty.

if the other memory card is detected, it means that the scandisk is faulty;
and if it is not detected, there must be a problem with the camera.

Hi

Thanks for your advice tried formatting and camera states that memory card is 'unsuitable'. Having looked at other feedback re the sand disk i'm dubious about it's genuiness. Already have sandisk for nintendo ds which works fine, one I ordered for my camera did not come in the sandisk packaging unlike the one we use for ds. Even though bought from reputable site, product out sourced and think i've been sold a dud!

Thanks again for your advice, much appreciated

regards
caroline

Same problem with my Panasonic Lumix...eventually noticed in the specs in my manual that the camera only works with SD cards up to 4G in size...hope this helps...
